Sorry to any Mancunians, but grr if I never set foot in that city again it'll be too soon.
Me and Sophie went into Manchester today cos we had tickets for the Evita musical, starring Seamus Cullen (one of the Josephs from Any Dream Will Do - the one with the IMMENSE curly hair <3) and it was amazing. The musical was good. Seamus was amaizng. Manchester was horrible. It all went downhill from when Seamus never came out of the stage door after the show. Apparently he went out the front and we missed him :( We were waiting for like half an hour and it was all for nothing :'( But I don't begrudge him for leaving the front, it was after the matinee performance, and me and Sophie are gunna go see him when Evita comes to Leeds. We thought we could have a day shopping and then wait for him at the stage door there :D
So anyway, after he didn't come out, we walked back to the train station, and we had like 15 minutes to kill and so we thought we'd wander back up to the theatre just on the off-chance he was there. He was. We think. We set off down the road where the theatre is and there was this curly-haired figure ahead of us and I was like 'is that him?'. I didn't have my glasses on and Sophie couldn't tell, but then he walked into the actors' door to the theatre so it must have been him! And we missed him! Again! We think it was definitely him co none of the other actors had hair even nearly as cool as his. We actually broke into a run to try and catch up, but we weren't quick enough :'( Mind you, he wouldn't have had much time to take photos n stuff if he was going back into the theatre to get ready for the evening performance.
Omg, and earlier, when we were walking past the theatre to check we knew where it was (and to take pics heehee), the guy who plays David Platt in Coronation Street randomyl walked by! It was so random! Actually, not really random at all considering Corrie's filmed in Manchester. heh. We just saw this remarkably orange dude in sunnies walking by holding hands with this girl and then when he got closer me and Sophie were like omg that was David Platt! We weren't exicted. I don't really think of soap stars as famous and I don't even watch soaps now so y'know.
Anywayz, this is Seamus:

As Joseph:

As Che in Evita (sooooo hot):

He rocked the beard, and the boots, and the bad-assness. I <3 him so much. I didn't even watch Any Dream Will Do - Sophie just showed me the clips on YouTube but I <3 him. I really hope we get to meet him in Leeds.
And oh yeah, why I hate Manchester. Basically, after we saw Seamus go back into the theatre, we were late for the first of many different trains we had to go on to get home. We ended up getting the metro - getting the one that went the oppostie way and having to double back - missing our train by just a minute or so. After that it was ok cos we got a slightly later one that got us to our last train on time but it was such a nightmare! We were in Deansgate and there were no decent shops and there was a big scray Hilton hotel that looked like it was about to topple over and the train station stank of piss :'( I know London so much better and it's like double the size of Manchester! I miss London.
Anyway, the play was good so not a waste of money. Seamus was AMAZING. He stayed in character even when he was in darkness, and he was on stage for most of the show. I couldn't even follow the plot properly cos I literally just focusedon him when he was on stage :D His voice is incredible too. I could listen to it all day. He can go from so high to so low so naturally and yet managed to keep it manly <3
It's a first for me to not meet a celeb after the play. Apart from when John Barrowman didn't come out of the Aladdin matinee, but I saw him after the evening performance anyway. Me and Sophie are still gunna tell Jasmine we met him though. We'd never hear the end of it if she knew we hadn't after hw much we rubbed it in her face. She really likes him too. lol. Sigh. We'd better see him in Leeds cos he's gawjus and I <3 him lots <3 <3 <3

I hate missing trains. I missed a train from Manchester Picadilly, and the next one to Huddersfield wasn't for another two hours, and it was already seven in the evening :( My mum was frantic when I didn't show at home :P
Ooh, I saw John in that play! With some LJ people just after Christmas in Birmingham! :D Twas an awesome day :) That was the second time I met him. I'm aiming for Billie Piper (and you've met her *is jealous*) and David Tennant now! :P
Anyway, I'm sure Gordon Brown's wife is with you on this one.
Hehe!
